Recap: Visions of the Future x KBC
On November 19th, the iconic Wintercircus in Ghent was coloured blue for the event ‘Visions of the Future’, a celebration of innovation, technology, and aspiration. Organized by Clusity in collaboration with KBC (aka ‘team blue’), this inspiring event brought together students, professionals, and tech enthusiasts for a deep dive into cutting-edge advancements and visionary ideas.
Recap: Visions of the Future – An Evening of Inspiration and Innovation in Ghent
The evening opened with an interactive Tech Fair, where attendees explored KBC’s innovative solutions while engaging with booths and activities. A warm welcome from Clusity’s founders, Elke Kraemer and Rein Meirte, set the stage for an evening rich with inspiration.
Insightful Keynotes
The keynote sessions began with Isabel van Mele, CIO of KBC, sharing KBC’s vision on inclusion and diversity. This was followed by Hannah Patronoudis of nocomputer, who amazed the audience with her studio’s creative use of AR, VR, and AI to build unforgettable experiences for global brands.
Ingrid Creten, Head of Innovation at KBC, wrapped up the keynotes by unveiling Surf Studio, KBC’s Tech Innovation Hub. She demonstrated how fostering an innovation culture and experimenting with new technologies drives the company’s success.
Engaging Panel Discussion
The panel discussion brought together a diverse group of voices, including:
Katrien Dewijngaert, General Manager Digital Transformation at KBC and Co-Founder of Start-it KBC,
Luna Zhang, Data Analyst at KBC,
Figen Kirkgoz, Functional Analyst/IT Trainee at KBC.
The panelists shared personal insights on navigating tech careers, the impact of innovation on their journeys, and strategies for thriving in a rapidly evolving industry.
Networking and Beyond
The night concluded with 1:1 Speed Networking, providing a platform for attendees to connect with peers, industry experts, and KBC representatives. Whether looking for career advice or new opportunities, this session embodied the spirit of collaboration that defines Visions of the Future.
